Behind the scenes

Our testing process

Every laptop goes through the same 6-step process before it's certified. No shortcuts.

01

Intake & visual inspection

Every device is logged and given a thorough visual check. Cracks, dents, missing keys, damaged ports — documented before anything else.

02

Hardware diagnostics

CPU stress test, RAM diagnostics, SSD read/write speed, battery cycle count and health percentage — all measured against our minimum thresholds.

03

Parts replacement

Any component that doesn't meet our standards is replaced — battery, keyboard, screen, RAM. We use quality parts; no cheap substitutes.

04

Deep clean & cosmetic grading

Professional internal and external cleaning. Then graded: Grade A (like new, minor cosmetic marks at most), Grade A+ (no visible marks).

05

OS reinstall & software check

Clean OS install, all drivers updated, malware scan, activation verified. You get a clean slate — no leftover data from the previous owner.

06

Final QA sign-off & packaging

A senior tech runs a final checklist and signs off. Only then is it packed and ready to ship. If there's any doubt, it goes back for re-inspection.

Condition grades

What cosmetic grades mean

All grades are fully functional. The grade refers only to how the device looks, not how it performs.

A+

Grade A+ — Like New

No visible scratches or marks. Looks and feels brand new. Rare and priced accordingly.

Most common
A

Grade A — Excellent

Light marks visible only on close inspection. Nothing you'd notice in daily use. Fully functional, thoroughly tested.

B

Grade B — Good

Visible marks at normal viewing distance. Best value option — all performance specs are identical, cosmetics are the only difference.

The bigger picture

Good for your wallet. Good for the planet.

Manufacturing a new laptop generates significant CO₂ and consumes rare materials. By renewing an existing device rather than buying new, you extend its useful life by years — keeping it out of landfill and reducing the demand for new production.

Every laptop we sell is one that didn't need to be manufactured from scratch. That's a saving most people don't think about — but it matters.
